Religious Varanasi with Mumbai Tour
The most sacred stretch of the Ganges is at Varanasi (aka Benares), one of the oldest living cities in the world and arguably the most intense, atmospheric place in the whole of India. Here you will see the Ghats with monks and the famous Ganga Aarti. Sarnath related to Buddhism and popular attraction. Mumbai The City that Never Sleeps', 'The City of Dreams' and 'The City of Seven Islands' are just a few of the epithets used to describe the wonderful city of Mumbai or Bombay, as it was known before. Elaphanta Caves are worlds UNESCO heritage sites, Gateway of India is great symbol of the city and Bollywood industry also one of the attraction.
After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your own pre-booked hotel/residence by our Driver/Representative and drop at IGI airport to catch flight for Varanasi. On arrival, check into your pre- booked hotel. Later, proceed for Sarnath.
Sarnath: the site of the deer park where Gautama Buddha is said to have given his first sermon about the basic principles of Buddhism. It has been a premier centre for Buddhism & has a rich collection of ancient Buddhist relics & antiques comprising numerous Buddha & Bodhisattva images on display at the Archaeological Museum. Later visit (BHU) Banaras Hindu University, Bharat Mata Temple, Vishwanath Temple.
In the evening, witness Ganga Aarti at the Ganges River where you will see priests performing traditional prayer rituals, thousands of small earthen lamps floating in the river, and people praying to God for brightness in their life. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Varanasi – Mumbai [BY FLIGHT 6E 579 : 15:00/17:15]
After breakfast, explore local Bazaars and then transfer to the airport to catch flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival in Mumbai, transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 3: Mumbai Sightseeing ]
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Mumbai.
Elephant cave (Visit by Ferry) - The Elephanta Caves are a great tourist attraction in the vicinity of the large Mumbai metropolis. The Elephanta island is located 10 km away from the Gateway of India at Mumbai. These caves houses rock cut temples dating back to the 5th century CE. The Elephanta island was so named by the Portuguese, after the statue of an elephant near the landing area of the island. These rock cut temples dedicated to Shiva Mahadeva are rich in sculptural content. Motorboats take passengers from Appollo Bunder near the Gateway of India.
Gateway of India - was built to celebrate and honor the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India for their formal proclamation as Emperor and Empress of India at the Delhi Durbar in December 1911.
Prince of Wales Museum - which houses a priceless collection of art, sculpture, china and other antiques.
Drive past the Victoria Terminus, Mumbai University and Rajabai Clock Tower, Hanging garden. Make a photo stop at Dhobi Ghat, the open-air laundry of the city. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Mumbai - New Delhi [BY FLIGHT G8- 465 : 12:05 / 14:20]
After breakfast we will transfer you to the Mumbai Airport to board flight for New Delhi, you’ll then connect your flight to take back home.
